Play the in-fusio Spyro - In case you were curious about this game you can now play it for free on the in-fusio Developer Zone. You will have to sign up as a developer which is of no cost and requires no proof of your developer status. The available game appears to be a demo since it was reported to have 18 levels in the classic mode and this only has 6. There may be a way to unlock more levels but I have not found it.I reported on the existence of this game earlier in the year. It is Spyro's first cel-phone game, the only Spyro game that (IMHO) is worse than Enter the Dragonfly. In this game you, as Spyro, have to help fairies get dressed for a ball. Spyro has to search through chests to find a top and bottom for the outfit that the fairy wishes to were. Then he is given a gem. He then uses flame to change the gem into one of 3 different necklaces for the fairy to were.
The game is very simple as most phone games are. Phone games are intended to be short diversions while waiting to see the doctor or riding the bus/train to school/work, not as in depth adventures. The problem with this game is that it is so "UN-Spyro". Our purple hero would have no interest in helping Fairies get dressed for a ball and neither would his fans. Let's just pretend that the Evil Fairy Queen captured Spyro and forced him to do this!

Spyro: Adventure released - The European version of Attack of the RhynocsThursday November 6 2003:
Special Treats with AOR - Season of Flame was released last year with a mini-poster included in the box. With Attack of the Rhynocs you may get a little more, a mini-poster with Spyro on one side and Crash Nitro Kart on the other, and a Spyro Game Boy Advance SP game skin. The later can be applied to your GameBoy Advance SP to give it that extra special Spyro look. Since I now have the game watch out for updates to the Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs section.Checking up on Check Six - It seemed that Check Six Studios (developer of Enter the Dragonfly) had dropped off the face of the Earth since there website, www.checksixstudios.com, has been dead for more than a month. It seems that this may not be the case. The domain, www.checksixgames.com, is reserved by somebody and a quick search of the net reveled this demo site: http://global.xyzdns.net/~checksix/. The Equinoxe site is still up. Is Check Six working on the next Spyro for PS2?
Saturday November 1 2003:
Agent 9's Rescue Mission, in his own words - From the VUGames website, Agent 9 tells us all about sneaking around and sucking up Rhynocs to rescue the other agents.Friday October 31 2003:
Some final Notes from the Developer - The third part of IGN's Developer's Diary tells us a little about the design of the world in which all the areas are connected(like Jak and Daxter). The only fodder in the game are various forms of Sheep and Spyro now has unlimited lives (also like Jak and Daxter). Again, more screens!Everyone's a critic - A not so favorable review of AOR. Some people just don't get it. "collecting lots and lots and lots and lots of junk." (a.k.a. hoarding) is what Dragons do best!
Press Release - This is the press release from VUGames for the release of Spyro Attack of the Rhynocs. Press Releases are rarely good reading but they do give you the facts.

Video Clips at SpyroTheDragon.com - There are seven new video clips of Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs at SpyroTheDragon.com. There's a clip of Agent 9, one of Sgt. Byrd and a couple where Spyro seems to think he's a jet fighter. Spyro rides a boat and Zoe has a new look. All of the clips were made using the GameBoy Player so ignore the border if you only have a GBA or GBASP.Wednesday October 15 2003:

SpyroHints calls it quits - SpyroHints.com, the Web's #1 hint site for the Spyro the Dragon PlayStation 1 videogame series, received it's final update on July 28 2003. This update was more of a strip down, leaving only pages for the first 3 games and the game shop. I use to visit the site daily for tips on the PS1 Spyros. Back then the site was known as "The Care and Feeding of Young Dragons" and featured tips submitted by fans as well as codes directly from Insomniac. The site is now officially retired but the Spyro 1-3 sections will remain indefinitely.
Tuesday July 29 2003:
IGN has New Screen Shots... - Actually they're the same ones NeoSeaker had last week. Wonder how that happened? GameSpot has same 5 ScreensSaturday July 26 2003:
Spyro Universe Updates - Since news on upcoming games is a little thin right now I will write a little on the updating of this site. This site is far from complete. There are always more Spyro games coming and I still don't have everything from the games that are already out.- Vision: This site is to become an encyclopedia of everything about the Spyro the Dragon series of video games.
- Inspiration: books! I love fantasy and Science Fiction, and I love books that describe the universes in which these stories take place. The name for the site comes from MARVEL Universe and Transformers Universe, books with detailed info on all characters within those universes
- When to Update:
- When there is news to report
- When A New game is announced I need to create a whole section in ENTERTAINMENT with Walkthroughs, Codes, Records, item lists.
- When the game is released I start building the walkthrough and adding info to POPULOUS, HISTORY, BESTIARY, and GEOGRAPHY.
- When ever I get an idea and have time to work on it.
- Recent Updates:
- I've been adding quite a bit to the Walkthroughs lately, especially Ripto's Rage, Season of Flame and Enter the Dragonfly.
- The characters list in POPULOUS should now be complete. Every character with a proper name in all the games should be in list.
- A few updates in BESTIARY and GEOGRAPHY
- The 'Spyro Shop', Contacts and 'NOT Spyro' sections under HOME are pretty new
- Plea for HELP!:
- If you are fan of Spyro and would like to add something to this site please drop me an email.
- If you are planning on buying a Spyro game or anything from amazon.com please click on any of the
amazon links, like the one below, before making your purchase. It won't cost you anything more but
I get a small commission, which makes easier to explain to my family why I spend so much time on this
site.

In association with Amazon.com - Thank You!

Spyro goes mobile: Who's SICK Idea is this anyway?! - France based mobile games service
provider (they make game for cell-phones), in-fusio, is making a Spyro the Dragon game for "girls". I have
nothing against games for girls but I bet most girls would be insulted by the suggestion that they
would enjoy a game where a male purple dragon helps female fairies get dressed. I don't see how
this could in anyway help the series since it has nothing to do with actual Spyro games. It can
only cause product confusion or turn gamers off all together.Source: Wireless Developer Network

Wednesday January 15 2003:
Gampro review of PS2 Spyro - This review is much kinder than the GameCube Review, in fact it is quite positive. As always they have new screenshots.GBA-SP Follow up - It seems that only silver(Platinum) and blue(Cobalt) will be available in the US. If you absolutely must have black you can import it from Japan since GameBoys don't have territory lock-outs. I guess Nintendo figures what good is a portable game system if it can't go international.
The price of the GBA-SP will be $100. Personally I'm holding out for the price to go down to $70.
Wednesday January 8 2003:
New GBA-SP offers a lit screen - Nintendo has unveiled a new version of the GBA that features vertical orientation, flip-up screen, and light!. Front lit LCD to be exact, kinda like the Afterburner add-on. It also has a built in rechargable battery that gives you 10 hours of play with light.US Release: 3/23/2003
Colors: Silver, Blue, Black

Gamepro review of Gamecube Spyro - Gamepro is known for it's short reviews and so they give ETD:GCN the usual short blurb with all the same complaints as everyone else, frame rate, glitches, same old game. I find it odd though that they even bothered to review it since Spyro is listed in their "Sponsored Links/Affiliates" section. Well there are some new screen shots!
