Walk NE and you will meet:

Private Flap - needs help crossing the water.

Use Ice Breath to freeze the walrus. Private Flap will then get on the walrus.

Jump on the frozen walrus and face SW. Use Wind Breath to move the Frozen Walrus. After 4 puffs you will be pretty close to an iceberg. Turn south and give one puff. Turn SW again and give one more puff and Private Flap will jump off. Follow him and he will give you the Super Breath Mint.

Gives you Super Ice Breath

Get the 7 gems in the area behind Private Flap. Face the shallow water to the left of him. Press and hold 'B' untill Spyro flashes. Release 'B' and Spyro will produce a cloud of cold breath that freezes the water. Watch out for the recoil!

Walk across the new ice bridge before it melts. Wonder around the upper area and get 78 gems from the Baskets, Vases, Banners, and one Rhynoc.

To the west you can drop down and get 15 more gems but you will have to take an ice bridge back to the start and do the whole walrus thing again to get to the gateway in the east.

Seal the vortex

Continue SE to a walrus who pops up in 3 spots. Wait by one spot and freeze him. Once frozen jump on him and glide and hover SE. No need to use wind.

From this small island you can go NE to another small island or south to a rather large island.

On the Large island are some rhynocs, sheep and gems. you will see strips of shallow water. Don't worry about them yet. Find Lieut. Peck in the middle of the camp first.

Lieut. Peck - need you to find 5 of his men who were stranded at their outposts. Their outposts are on 5 islands around the large one. You will have to reach each one by freezing shallow water and crossing the ice bridge.

1. Lets start by going directly NE of Lieut. Peck. Freeze the water with your Super Ice Breath and walk across. Fine the Soldier and 2 Gems. While you are here glide SE to another small island. Take note that there are paw prints here. Now go back to Lieut. Peck.
2. Now go SE of Lieut. Peck. Again you can just walk across. In fact you don't even need to freeze the water, just glide and hover, but the soldier won't go unless the water is frozen. Along with the Soldier you will find 15 Gems.
3. Go up to the northern part of the large island and freeze the water on the SW side find the soldier and 21 Gems.
4. NW of the Large Island is more shallow water. You can get to the high platform by pressing A repeatedly but you don't have to. Just jump up, flame the three baskets, jump up again and Sparx will grab the gems. 17 Gems on this island.
5. Now the hard one to the NE. This one is really long and has turns so you will have to charge. For your effort you get the last soldier, 6 Gems and an item

Hunter's Hipness Quest

Go back north to the small island and go NE to another small island. There is a Rhynoc and another Walrus popping up off the NW side.

Take it NW. There will be 3 Baskets right there when you get off. go up a couple steps and find 2 Banners. 3 more Baskets are on steps above. 6 baskets to the west. 1 Rhynoc in the are right over the start point.

58 Gems in the area above Moneybags vault

Get all the Gems to the West then head east over to Money Bags' Vault and drop down. You will find 3 Baskets and 25 Gems on a high platform, jump to get it. Sgt Byrd's Rescue Mission is across from the vault to the east.

Moneybag's Vault move the walrus to the SE with 2 puffs while facing NW. This should put the walrus right where you can glide to land on either side. Get the button on one side, glide to the walrus, glide to land on the other side and get the other button.
