"You know what Sparx? I need a holiday. The shock that Ripto came back has just settled in. We've got nothing better to do! Let's go for a vacation at Shell Beach. And when we get back we can move from here, at Molten Crater, to Stone Hill. It's been way to long since we've been back to the proper dragon lands. And it's starting to get quiet again. Nestor even said that Wishing Well wasn't giving out as many gems as before," said Spyro, loudly cracking the tendons in his tail.
"I agree Spyro. We do need a holiday. We haven't actually had one since we got back from Avalar!" squealed Sparx.
And off they went through the portal to Shell Beach, unaware that they would be embarking upon yet another adventure.
The very same day...
"CRASH! CRASH! Where is that orange brother of mine? CRASH!" screamed Coco.
Crash came running across the beach and skidded to a halt in front of his angry sister.
"WHAT? Is there a fire? A flood?" asked Crash.
"No, my brother. It's much, much, much worse. We have to visit Auntie Alice for her birthday!"
Crash's face fell. It lost all possible color, as the idea of having to spend the day with a deaf marsupial, that he called an aunt.
After the shock had worn in, Crash said,
"Well. We have to go today, if we're going to reach there by tomorrow. We could take my Dune Buggy. You know, the one I used when I was racing Dingodile and all that in CTR."
"You still have it?!?" exclaimed Coco.
"Of course! I wasn't going to get rid of it just because we had finished racing."
So, they began to pack up Crash's Dune Buggy and then Coco remembered,
"Crash, you better bring the Wumpa Fruit Bazooka. Every single time we go for an adventure, Cortex normally has something to do with it."
"You're right, Coco," agreed Crash. So he packed the Bazooka and they sped off towards their Auntie Alice's house. And then they crashed.
And Spyro never reached Shell Beach, they got deposited in a large crater, along with Crash, Coco, the Dune Buggy and the Bazooka.
Sparx cracked his eyes open realized they weren't in Shell Beach. He looked up and all he could see was the clear blue sky and then he took a look around. They were in a huge crater. And there were two other people with them. There was also a car and then a huge tube with a trigger attached. It looked like it had loads of apples stuck up the hole. The other two people woke up and started talking. Sparx went over to Spyro and started buzzing in his ear. He woke up as well, and jumped up when he heard what Sparx had to say. He went over to Crash and Coco and they all introduced themselves and got to know each other.
"We think that Dr N Cortex is behind this. He's behind all of our adventures." Said Coco.
"But we think Ripto is behind this, he's been behind most of our adventures," said Spyro.
And then a large, green face appeared above the crater, talking in a gangster-like way.
"Hello Spyro! Hello Crash! Glad you could all make it. My employer, Cortex, has said he will give you one chance to get out of this crater or he will release a load of spiked crocodiles in there with you. You have one hour"
"Oh my goodness!" shouted Coco. "Cortex is behind this! I knew it!"
"Spyro, do you know who that was?" asked Crash.
"Sure, that was Gnasty Gnorc, my first ever adversary. He must want revenge," muttered Spyro.
"Well," said Sparx, "We have an hour to get out of here. Let's not waste it or we're going to get spiked by those crocodiles!"
"He's right. We have a car and a bazooka. You have fire. How can we use that to get out of this crater?"
They all thought for a while, and then Spyro came up with the idea.
"If we weld the Bazooka to the Car (with my flame breath,) I can then freeze it on to make sure it sticks (with my ice-breath) give it a jump-start (with my electric breath), and then if I blow through it with my fire-breath, I make a rocket-propulsed engine. Then if Crash can steer the car up, up and over the top of the crater, we're free."
So they set about making a rocket-propulsed engine for the Dune Buggy. It worked perfectly, and Spyro was pleased. But when they got to the top of the crater, the head appeared again. But this time the message was different.
"Now, you will race. Every time you win a race, a new track will appear. You will get an orb and a relic for each race you win. You must have at least 20 orbs and 14 relics to enter the Gnorc Gnexus." Said Gnasty.
"What's the Gnorc Gnexus?!?" asked Coco.
"It's where Gnasty lived last time we defeated him." Replied Spyro, emphatically. "I think we can use the rocket propulsion engine to race as well, because I don't see any other ways out of this place other than racing."
"Then let's get racing!!!" joked Crash. And off they went.
They spent two long weeks firing up the Dune Buggy, which was now a racing car, and getting the relics. And after those two weeks, Sparx spoke up
"You guys, we have enough Orbs and Relics to get into the Gnexus!" he exclaimed. And so they sped off again and into the sunset, where they could see a large, dome shaped building, which they knew was the Gnorc Gnexus.
And then, a storm began, and Spyro couldn't flame the Bazooka. SO they couldn't move. And then a warp-hole opened in front of them and they were sucked into it. Spyro got returned to Stone Hill, and they never heard anything of that orange bandicoot or his sister again.
The End
