Shields and Shield Generators - There is one Caterpillar nest in this level that is surrounded by a shield. Find and destroy the Shield Generator to bring down the shield.

Weapons

there are four weapons you can get:

• Green Butterfly: Wide-Rapid Fire (300 shots)
• Red Butterfly: Homing Bombs (40 shots)
• Purple Butterfly: Atomic Blast (1 shot)
• Yellow Butterfly: Shield (1)

They are all activated by the 'L' button.

If you get 2 of the same color they add up but you can only have one type at a time

If you get 2 Greens you would have 600 shots but if you then pick up a Yellow you lose them all and only have 1 Shield.

Bosses

I like to use the homing bombs (red butterfly) or wide -rapid fire (green butterfly). When you die in the Sparx worlds all the butterflies (and enemies) come back. Use this as a chance to stock up on your weapon of choice.

With all the bosses I stay in one end of the room, hold the 'R' and slide up and down firing in the direction of the boss. When he gets close I zoom over to the other side. I use up the weapon I have and then grab whatever's in the room. Any of the weapons can be used to do damage, even the shield.

If using homing bombs I just run around and let him chase me while I fire
