Breaking the Ice - You may have noticed some gems under the ice. You may have also noticed the crack in the ice. How do you break it? There are 2 ways.
Remember: When gliding you need to hit Triangle twice to do a headbash.

1. from the entrance to the room jump and glide from the last bit of non-icy floor and do a head bash at the last second

2. In that last room before you walk out to the portal and the Gondola you can go to the left and use the cannon to destroy the ice crystal which reveals a whirlwind. Glide over to the whirlwind. it will take you to a ledge outside the ice room and there's a passage into the room. you can glide and headbash the ice from there.

Egg4 Speedy thieves I. Betty You get this for catching the Yellow Thief

Egg5 Speedy thieves II. Scout You get this for catching the Red Thief

The easy way - When you start the Red Thief is on the pedestal in the middle of some loopy paths and the Yellow thief is on the right path. See below on how to get to the pedestal and flame the Red thief as you fly by. Don't worry about landing on the pedestal. You can't loose lives in this area and you will be transported to a safe spot and given the egg once you flame the thief. he Yellow will still be on the right path. Take the left path and you can drop down behind the Yellow Thief and get him as he runs toward you.

Skill Point 6 Glide to pedestal - The pedestal in question is the one in the middle of the left and the right paths right in front of you when you enter the area. The Red thief is waiting there while you chase the yellow thief.

To get there turn around and head straight back against the arrows (don't take the path to the right) the path will bend to the right and when you get to the edge across from you is a cave with some gems. if you super charge you end up going right into it or you can glide to it.

Inside is a whirlwind take the whirlwind and it will send you to the top of a mountain with some gems. look to you left and you can see the pedestal. If you jump and glide you will fly right over it. You may be able to drop right on top of it if time it just right. I suggest walking off the mountain and glide as soon as you're off. You can also try moving left to right to get lower before you get to it.
