Dialog Player: This code was discovered 7 years after the release of the game by PoloDewen on YouTube. This code lets you play dialog in the menu and then it temporarily replaces the level music with the dialog until you enter another level.

From the menu screen:
[SQUARE] [SQUARE] [CIRCLE] [CIRCLE] [SQUARE] [SQUARE] [CIRCLE] [CIRCLE]

After you enter the code you will see "Type: 0" and "Msg: 0" at the bottom of the screen and you will hear the level music playing. Press up or downs and you will hear somebody start talking. Type seem to indicate a particular character while Msg is each message that character says in the current level. Yes, it only lets you hear dialog from the current level.

To quit you need to enter the code again, but then the Music will be replaced by the last dialog you chose and will loop continuously until you go to another level/sub-area.

Of particular interest is when you go to Sunrise Spring and select "Type: 200 Msg: 0". This is meant to play when the game detect that you are using a hacked copy.

Level Select, Watch Movies (only works after gaining Level select in Bugbot Factory)
This code is not as useful as it sounds because it only works after you have the ability to visit any level instantly. As the story goes the guys at Insomniac thought they had removed the code but it was only partially disabled. It will, however, let you view the "movies" which you otherwise cannot review, and if you have the original US release there is one movie you can only view using this code. The movie is "Spike is Born" and it was supposed to play before you fight Spike. This was fixed in the "Greatest Hits" version of the game. One other use is if you are a victim of the infamous speedway egg bug and can't get into the Super bonus world because you can't get an egg you can use this code to get in.

Enter the main code followed by the two button combination for the movie you wish to view or level you wish to visit. All other combinations cause the game to lock up and you will have to reset your PlayStation. It is unlikely that these lockups would damage your PlayStation, Game Disc, or Save Game but be careful.

FAKE CODE: Sparx Tresure Finding without completing Sparx worlds: I point this out because many sites mention this code and it DOES NOT WORK and there is no known code to give Sparx that ability:
